Turn web analytics insights into actions your team can track

Create a clear path from observation to hypothesis, owner, change and follow-up.

A metric becomes useful when it changes a decision or suggests the next piece of evidence to gather. A simple action record keeps insight from disappearing into a presentation.

Write an insight that can be challenged

State what changed, for which audience or page, over what period and compared with what. Separate observation from interpretation: ‘mobile checkout completion fell’ is evidence; ‘the new payment form is confusing’ is a hypothesis. Add the data limitation that could alter the conclusion.

Propose a specific response

Choose a fix, an investigation or a decision to wait for more evidence. Name an owner and expected date, and select the outcome that would indicate improvement. If the proposed action is not connected to the observation, return to the question before shipping it.

Close the loop

After the change, check the same metric definition and relevant audience, plus guardrails. Record what happened even if the result is neutral or uncertain. The accumulated record helps the team avoid repeating failed ideas and improves future hypotheses.
